Mine is an automatic too. The tune will firm up your shifts for one thing. They also turn up your injector slopes for more fuel. And other tweaking to match the blower to your car.

Saleen is the way to go.Installed mine last month in my 05 5spd.Added 39lb injectors,3.6 pulley and the 95 mm MaF tube for the wmsracing CAI.Dyno'd last Wednesday after being tuned locally with 427 rwhp@6200 and 404 torque.Boost about 7.5 lbs at 6200.This is with completely stock exhaust and 3:55's gears.Low end torque in unbelievable. Can smoke the 275/50 Nitto's with out any effort at all.Need to upgrade the rear suspension.Best bang for the buck got in on group buy saved alot of bucks and my best friend and I installed in about 11 hours.Save your time and get it tuned on a dyno locally.Cost me three hundred bucks for dyno time but it's worth every penny to know it's safe tune but aggressive enough to snap your head back.Plus this set up has much more to go.The horsepower was still climbing and the boost was at 7.5 lbs at 6200 when we called day.Only thing was the fuel pump duty cycle was max'd out at 5800 rpms but with the tune I got will not be a problem. Saleen fits nice in the engine compartment.Didn't need to use new lower motor mmounts.

Im also thinking of getting a comp cam and 3000-3500 Stal, what do you guys think? Im lookn some where around 500rwhp, think its possible with a procharger pushing 10psi. What do you think it would be like on my enginee wear and tear wise?

Yes, I ran a 12.5 with my stock tires and 6 lbs of boost. All I would have to do is put a smaller pulley on and run faster, but I want to drive my car for many years without worrying about if my engine is going to last. A 12 second daily driver is FAST.
Sorry it took a while to respond. I just got back from cruising around before I have to go to work. Passing everything in sight, good stress reliever lol

Whipple is twin screw too and fits under the stock hood without issue. As far as power output, I believe all twin screws will produce similar numbers for similar boost (pully size) levels. It really boils down to which one appeals to you and I don't think you'll go wrong with any of the big 3. Twin screws deliver incredable low end boost (I put down 433.3 RWTQ at 4600 RPM and 400 RWTQ at 3200 RPM), but will not match a centrifical in power output at high RPM. Probably twin screw is better for a mostly street driven cars and would be more fun or a centrifical will be a better choice for the dragstrip if thats what your going for. However, either will make your pony into a real firebreathing monster that puts a big smile on the mug. Just remember there is always risk involved with pumping that much power from a small block and could potentially cost you a few more dollars ($5000 +) if you have any substandard parts in your motor and blowers are good at finding them quickly[]
Whipple's design was developed with cooperation between Whipple and FFRP, that was what swayed me over as I was considering the KB and Saleen.

You have a lot more left in yours Zcat. The safe tune you are running is producing very strong numbers. Can you imagine some custom tuning?? You only pulled to 6k on the dyno and were right in the sweet spot. Again, as we have discussed, if there is a weak link, pumping up the tune will definately uncover it!

Yea musiccity, your right. I'm sure 500 RWHP is there to achieve and I will probably move in that direction. 1st want to get the AFR into a better condition, then might look at adding a few hundred RPMs. I'm looking at dumping the cats and maybe the restrictive Roush chambered mufflers for a set of Borla exhaust non-chambered units, that might add another 10, as close as I am, I think I can reach the magic 1/2 of 1000 HP level without getting to inspect my rods up close, but you never know. I gotta say that I'm quite satisfied that Whipple delivered what they promised
