Al is definately one of our most knowledgeable members... I find myself going to him quite often for info and suggestions. (Im sure hes getting tired of it, lol).

But yeah, I was going to post on how to launch until I saw your shifter mod in your sig, and realized you have a manual.[8D] Have fun launchin that.

Im not sure what kind of tires you have since you have aftermarket rims, but if they are anything like the stock ones, youll be better off NOT heating them up before you launch. I was heating my tires trying to get them sticky before I launched but was still getting a bad launch. Then I asked for some advice and someone suggested to try it without burning them first. Next time I went to the track, I heated the tires my first pass and then did a second pass without heating them, even with the heatsoak I ran 2 tenths faster the second round. I noticed a significant improvement in my launch compared to when I practically melted the tires trying to find some traction... something to do with the compound of street tires that makes them have LESS traction when theyre warm than when theyre cold, which was the opposite of what I was under the impression of. Maybe someone else can expand on that... But anyways, if you have more of a drag radial type tire, then my entire paragraph is pretty much worthless![8D] Good luck.
