Default X pipes...is it just me?

I have been in the mustang game a long time...had tons of Foxbodys.
I am just getting to the point where I am starting to want to mod my 06.

I am starting with Evo CAI, Mid pipe, Steeda pullies.

All the x-pipes I have been looking at seem to be phony...by the look of it they don't even seem to cross over...
The bassani's look right, like a true x pipe but the Pypes for instance (althougth the quality looks good) dont...

Whats the deal?

I went with the MAC O/R X and can tell you when you see them in person they cross over. I took a look on Brenspeed.com and I can see what you're saying from the pic's. In person, they do cross. Not to mention the sound is unmistakably X.

Thanks for the reply.

I have to say I was surprised from watching the Brenspeed vids...Stock mufflers w/ H and Stock mufflers w/ X.
The X pipe doesn't really do it for me.
I use to run one on all my foxes but for me the tone is more appealing w/ the H.

No offense to anyone, just my opinion.

The X is definitely unique! No offence taken at all. I went with the X because it technically flows better, and I’d rather have the better flow. I actually like the sound too; but do admit the H sounds awesome. These 3 valvers sound much different than the 5.0’s did with the same type of exhaust. Be warned though...if you go with the O/R, whether it be X, or H it is loud! Your neighbors will know you have new exhaust the first time you start it. Oh, and you will likely get a MIL light. Mine showed up after about 40 miles. I bought my SCT, CAI, and X pipe through Brenspeed and he just sent memy same tune with the rear O2's turned off, and that solved the problem.

I have the pypes X pipe! it definitely crosses over, VERY VERY RASPY!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND PYPES BRAND I spent an extra 200$ having a shop weld the O2 bung in the right place.... sure it sounds good, but the quality of work is horrible!! also the end where it connects to the manifold had a weld leak that had to be rewelded. GO WITH A QUALITY BRAND!! you get what you pay for!

Wow, thanks. I had a feeling the price was to good to be true.

Thats what I hate about the s197, all these new companys have come out of the wood work and you never know what you going to get.

Aren't you supposed to just turn the O2 sensors off?

That's what I thought, just turn it off through the tuner "Right?"

You should turn them off, or use MIL eliminators. But I don't know why you would buy those if you can turn the O2's off for free. Like I said, it's what Brent did for me. He e-mailed the tune, I dropped it in the SCT, and re-flashed the car. Light's gone that easy.

But the sensors do have to be installed, and if the bung isn't in the right place the wireswouldn't reach. I went with the MAC. All stainless and fit like a glove.
