what all is involved with SC?
I am looking more and more into superchargers. I keep reading about how happy and fast people can go with these things. It is very tempting. If I supercharge my car with lets say a Kenne Bell, what else would I need to do to my car? It is an automatic. Would I have to change the drive shaft and torque converter? Does this depend on how much boost im running? If I get a Kenne Bell, I would probably stick with 8 or 9 psi........ Any feedback would help...

I have the KB intercooled kit. You don't need anything else actually. I would recommend an aftermarket torque converter to beef up the tranny. My tranny died after 3000 mileswith 10 PSI boost. There are torque converters availablefrom PI, level 10 and TCI. TCI is the least expensive at 550-600 dollars. The Level 10 billet converter is 1100 dollars. I am not sure about the PI one, they do them custom for your stall speed I think.
I had to replace my trans and TC because they both went, but maybe they would have survived with a better torque converter. Who knows?
If you stay 6-8 PSI you should be fine all stock. Deep tranny pan is a great modification and will keep the tranny cooler. I have the level 10 dep pan and Performance makes one too, they are close to 600 dollars.

i cant stay around the 6 to 8 psi area, im looking to get atleast 450 to the wheels... would an 8 or 9 psi kit do this (intercooled) ? do you think if i get a new torque converter that my tranny will survive longer? (its an auto)
