Got my 87, 89, 93 tunes today from Brenspeed and when I tried to load them, it gave me some error about the serial number in the file not being correct. So I guess someone mistyped the serial number i gave them when placing the order or the guy heard me poorly. My phone has been getting crappier and crappier, but there's only 6 months till the contract runs out. Anyway, I just sent an email back to them with the serial number and hopefully it will all get fixed soon.

has your car been to the dealer since you ordered the tunes? they may have re-flashed it

I'm sure brenspeed will make the correction. If the serial number is off, it won't work.

even if the car was at the dealer and reflashed, it shouldnt affect this since this tuner was never connected to this car before. I'll see what Brenspeed says tomorrow.

If the car has been reflashed by the dealer then the code you gave brenspeed isn't the correct pcm code anymore. It's been updated to a new code. Before sending the xcal2 back to brenspeed read your cars strategy code to verify if it's been updated or not. Here is a link to a list pcm codes with the coresponding strategy's. no...i mean even if the pcm code is different, thats not the problem,lol. The files wont load from the PC to the XCal.

Anyway, Brent emailed me today. I guess what happened was the guy on the phone took down the number I gave him on the back of the Xcal with the barcode, I thought I told him that that was the barcode and then corrected myself and gave him the serial number programmed to the Xcal but maybe I was wrong...I dunno. Either way, Brent said he'd rework the files for me.


EDIT* To clear up any uncertainties, I ordered only the tunes from Brenspeed. I already had a tuner because I had used it on my old sixer.
