4.10's all the way!! don't fear the gear!! I couldn't decide what to go with and read every post out there about gears. Finally went with 4.10's and they're the greatest. Having so much fun. Definetly not too much gear. I drive every day on the thruway @80 mph and about 2700rpm. City driving is actally easier and I do use first gear.

I bought my car with the 3.31's in it to save the $100. I noticed it going to 3.73's but 3.55 to 3.73's is a complete wast of money in my opinion. you would be better off with
1. CAI and a tune
2. Headers
3. Driveshaft.
All of these will give you an average of 10-15RWHP and cost about the same with labor. The gears won't give you extra HP.

I agree with #1 and I agree with everyone saying the 3.73 jump on a manual aint worth beans but if you jump to 4.10's you will indeed notice an instant difference.
I would get CAI & Tune and 4.10 gears first on my mod list IMO.

No matter what gear ratio you had to begin with, 3.73's or 4.10's will be an improvement. A lot of guys here say you won't notice much of a difference going to 3.73's maybe you won't ( I noticed it)...but you know who will definately notice the difference.....The guy you race with a car with your same mods, but with 3.55's

4.30s, these cars make power up top, that means they need shorter gears to get into the peak power quicker, and you will loose 3 mpg at the most but thats just a number IMO, you want fuel economy buy a hybrid
