Killed a Stage 2 Clutch

RE: Killed a Stage 2 Clutch
LOL, no harm no foul... I'm not really pissed, I'm cool with it, I just shudder at the break in period, I just went thru it and it sucked big time....
I know i got it hot, but I did take it for a ride right after, so it should have had a decent chance to cool off, or at least I thought it did, guess I was wrong....whoops... either way, it "should" have held up better IMO.... cause really a day at the track doing 1/4 miles would have put a far gerater strain on it....

RE: Killed a Stage 2 Clutch
20 billion dollars says your pressure plate bolts have come loose. The same exact thing happened to me about2 weeks ago with my Ram HD clutch. It got to the point that I would have to shut the car off at stop lights to put it in gear and when I would push in on the clutch at a stop you could hear it dragging like a mother. The bolts had lock washers on them and I put them in with a big *** impact but they still came loose. So I put some red locktite on themand havent had any problems since. If you are lucky thats what has happened but quit driving it or you will fry that mother I burnt up about half of my clutch disc driving it around.
