what I recommend to do is make a new post and ask the guys who had v6's tell you about their experiences with swithching to a gt.

You'll be amazed.

Imagine your car right now times like 2.5.

Thats an 05 gt.
im one of those guys! My 06 v6 got 17/26 stock,my 05 GT gets 16.4/26... the gt is way more fun...

If you take your time and look for a good used one, you'll find it. mine had 11,000 miles on it, and is in flawless condition...

If I'm carefull, I can get 20-21mpg in the city, and 27-29mpg on the highway.

I've driven mine across state a few times to visit family and what not. The BEST I've gotten setting the cruise @ 70 mph was 27.6. That's on a 235 Mile one way trip, almost all of it Highway, with a C&L Racer Intake and Brenspeed's 93 Octane Tune.

yep I too came from a sixer, the GT is the way to go...I was averaging 15 in town with the 6, now my GT is getting about 17 in town....bone stock except for the midpipe exhaust system and a drop in filter. Plus it's a GT, you can't go wrong!

i purchased an 07 GT about 3 wks ago and i absoulutely love it... my previous car was an 05 v6 that i got for my 16th birthday. so after driving my v6 for about 2 1/2 years the GT was like getting a whole new car. i definitely can tell you that the GT is much more fun to drive and the power is definitely worth it even if you get worse gas mileage... so far the GT has done me more bad than good though. i got reckless driving and exceeding the maximum speed limit (114 in a 55) about a week after i got it. i guess coming from the v6 to v8 was just a little to tempting.
