Blowers, convince me
I agree with Hammeron, each is good in its own way. What are the power characteristics you are looking for and what power level are you looking for? Each design has strengths and weaknesses.
Twin screws are what most people seem to have on this site (Whipple and Saleen), these are nice because they make boost right off idle so it makes the car "feel" like it has a bigger engine. More power every where.
Root's style blowers (Roush, Magnacharger)work similar to the twin screws but are not as efficient. People like these if they are looking for moderate gain and are cheaper to produce, that is why most OEM's like them, although the kits dont bear this out. These maz out their efficiency early and tend to create more heat when worked hard.
The centrifugals (Procharger, Vortech, Paxton) are just belt driven turbo's and will build boost in relation to rpm. Low rpm - Low Boost, High rpm - High boost etc.
Anyone of these will transform your car and be alot of fun. Just depends on your budget and goal.
People here will be glad to help.

Each SC has its upsides and down sides. I've heard nothing but great things from all of the SC out there. I have a kenne bell myself. However if you want a great SC straight out of the box and good tune to go with it Ford Racing's Whipple 100%. The engineers at FR have done awesome things with those twinscrews and put out a great amount of HP straight out of the box. Kenne Bell the same thing, however, lose the BAP get a GT500 fuel pump set up and get it Dyno tuned after the install. The Kenne Bell fuel maps are kind of goofy. I just had the luxury today of seeing what they do with the S197 fuel tables...eh so-so there. re-writing the fuel tables is one thing, but when you don't do much to the A/F maps. You're losing some HP.

Good question but you're looking for the answer in the wrong place. Do your independent research away from these forums. Learn about the technology of forced induction first and forget about trade or model names.
Here ya go ..info on the Saleen, Whipple and KB below...enjoy your read
Saleen Series VI integrated TwinScrew supercharger with two-stage water-to-air intercooling system.
[font="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"][size=2]A second cooler located in the airdam below the engine radiator assists the intercooler integrated into the supercharger assembly. compact, light weight and high efficiency - Essentially, the Saleen design integrates the previously separate intake manifold, blower housing/assembly and intercooler into one compact unit that nestles neatly into the valley between the heads. This allows for a much wider intake manifold.
The shape of the "snorkel" opening for the intake air tube is designed for maximum flow. And to maintain a constant volume of air as the air flows toward the rear of the engine, the housing widens and lattens-out over the engine. All bends are opened up to provide smooth airflow.
The blower assembly contains twin screws, which push 2300 cc of air per rotation As a result, the supercharger turns slower for equivalent boost, producing lower stress and lower air charge temperatures. The higher supercharger efficiency, along with the lower air charge temperatures, allows for an intercooler that is smaller, lighter and more compact and which has virtually zero pressure drop from inlet-to-outlet side.
It features an integrated bypass for low-speed running; when you are driving at low speeds and don't require boost, the bypass helps reduce heat buildup in the engine. The Saleen design provides for optimal runner length, resulting in more torque and better low-end drivability
It features long, beefy downdraft runners with minimal bends for maximizing torque and horsepower. The new design provides a straight, direct shot into the cylinders which maximizes airflow.
This design is much more maintenance-friendly. It has only one sealing surface and you only have to remove the eight screws that bolt theair tube to the plenum for access to all of the blower components. The overall efficiency gains-in the engine, the supercharger and the intercooler-mean the Saleen supercharged 3V-V8 produces more horsepower and torque at a less stressful 4-5 psi boost - 400 horsepower, and 420 lb-ft of torque,
The Saleen-SC kit also includes benefits from a specific Saleen PowerFlash performance computer.
WHIPPLE
If you’re interested in building your own supercharger packages for kit to resale to the general public, there is no better supercharger than a Whipple Twin Screw Compressor. OEM manufactures utilize positive displacement superchargers due to their incredible throttle response and drive-ability of a big cubic inch motor. When building a system for the consumers, you must provide a very broad power ban with a high peak horsepower level, only the screw compressor can give you this. This is due to the high adiabatic (up to 80%) and volumetric efficiency levels (up to 98%). The Whipple screw compressor is the latest generation, durable and dependable performance-enhancing item ever designed for either low boost or high boost levels.
[font="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"][size=2]The screw compressor is by far the best supercharger available today; it’s the only supercharger to provide a positive displacement design for maximum low-end torque as well as high efficiency for maximum top-end horsepower. No other supercharger in the world can offer the same unique benefits. Centrifugals and turbos have tremendous lag time during shift points, on-off throttle and off the line boost. Roots-type superchargers have been proven to not be very efficient, especially at higher boost levels. Whipple Superchargers has a variety of screw compressors for all types of applications, anywhere from a 75 cubic inch compressor to the 305 cubic inch compressor. Whipple also has a wide assortment of drive lengths, pulley combinations and bypass valves for all types of applications.

BUY FACTORY DIRECT
Kenne Bell is a family owned hi-tech supercharger company rich in high performance engineering heritage and well experienced in factory direct sales and service. In 1991, when we introduced our new Twin Screw kits to the Ford market, we adopted the policy of selling factory direct to our customers. It’s worked very well for us over the years. Eliminating the “middleman†(Auto Dealer, Distributor, Web Sellers, etc.) profit allowed us to keep our supercharger prices more competitive. Since all engineering, calibration, testing, marketing, assembly, warehousing, direct sales, tech support, warranties, etc. are handled in house at Kenne Bell - we have no use whatsoever for any other middleman services. Who knows Kenne Bell superchargers, the applications and the technical issues better than us? For those who require installation service, we have a network of Authorized Kenne Bell Installers. Check with us for locations.
KIT PHILOSOPHY & COST
The Kenne Bell ‘05-’06 Mustang kits may cost more than other kits, but it is the largest displacement billet twin screw available - the BIG BORE 2.6L. Equally important is Kenne Bell kits are COMPLETE. We even inlclude the tune (calibration) for the supercharger kit. No costly custom re-tuning is necessary. No extra parts. All kits inc
