i still want to buy them!!
Make sure you get the newer Steeda pullies, and that you get the replacement alternator bolt so you don't have to grind down the existing stud. Also, buy a new crank bolt, its only $7.

I don't see how slowing down the accessories WON'T give you horsepower.

I would also like to add that after I got my pulleys installed, I noticed a significant pull in the motor in the higher RPM range. This coincides with my first car that also had UDP's. Personally, I believe UDP's wake a car up higher in the RPM range.

Here is a very raw example:

without udp's : 2,500 rpm - 152 hp
3,000 rpm- 204 hp
3,500 rpm- 231 hp
4,500 rpm- 246 hp
6,000 rpm-272 hp

With udp's: 2,500 rpm- 157 hp
3,000 rpm- 204 hp
3,500 rpm-236 hp
4,500 rpm- 246 hp
6,000 rpm- 272 hp
This would be an increase of 10 hp, and is why manufactorers can get away with posting these types of gains.
Where did you get those numbers from?
I pulled them out of my ***. I told you they are a very raw example.

And to the guy that called me an idiot...LOL!

I dont even want to get into an argument on here. But that IS in fact how manufactorers can give larger hp gain numbers. They are not peak like you think they are.

"Oh I had 250 baseline, I added headers that say 15 hp, CAI that says 20hp, and UDP's that says 15 hp! That means I should be at 300 hp!"

Sorry buddy, it doesnt work like that. Do some research. In fact I do know what im talking about, sorry. If you want you can keep reading your magazine articles and boxes and tell me that UDP's add 10 hp. Lol
The majority of people hereknow that already. You appear to be the only idiot thinking UDP gains are calculated with the ignorant math you've done.

If what you've stated were true, companies could use the sum of the difference at every rpm level to state their HP increase.

Like so:

1100 rpm up 1hp
1200 rpm up 1hp
1300 rpm up 1hp
etc

They'd be able to claim 50+ hp increaseversus the real 1hp gain.

Also, why is it so hard for you to understand reducing friction increases the power output? Free-ing up existing power is what an UDP does.

Let me try and explain with something more on your level. Take a Slip and Slide for example. Your mom useswater to reduce the friction so you can slide faster and not burn your dumb a$$.

[sm=lol.gif]That's pretty funny.

Next he will say that a lightened flywheel and a 1pc driveshaft doesn't free up horsepower either.

I can tell you that after my UDP install I felt a noticeable SOTP difference especially in the upper RPM range. And after I installed my Spydershaft DS, I noticed a significant SOTP difference. Sorry no dyno numbers to prove it, but if my dumb a** can tell a difference I don't a dyno sheet to confirm it.

And speaking of dynos, there is so many variables that affect your peak numbers regardless of the parts changed, you shouldn't use them for absolute comparison numbers. Dyno your car in December and again in July without changing any parts and you will get different numbers, hell you can get different numbers from run to run on the same day. Dyno numbers are only worth something if the conditions are nearly identical and even then they are not perfect comparisons.

I have the steeda udp's.....they are garbage. UDP's in general are garbage. You will see no added hp in your peak gains.

So if your car peaked at 275 rwhp before pullies, it will peak at 275 after pullies. Completely worthless
You are staying firm on this and I respect your opinion on it but I did feel a difference and it was worth the while.

My Steeda pullies came in from Brenspeed yesterday and I will be putting them on soon. If I need to go get these bolts, where can I get them? Can I get them at Autozone or something or do I have to go thru Ford?
