Borla Stingers getting loose.

Borla Stingers getting loose.
Had the Stingers for about 2000 mls. No problems on the pass. side, drivers side won't stay on tight
for more than a week. I'm not worried about warranty issues, so should I just have them welded on?
Anybody else have this done?

RE: Borla Stingers getting loose.
Same thing here except my passenger side kept loosening up and driver's side stayed tight. I came back from a 2000 mile trip the first time to find that side about to fall off.
There were a few threads about others having this issue, too. I went to a local autoparts store and picked up a pipe clamp (2 1/2" I think) and ADDED that upstream of the supplied bracket after loosening the axleback on that side and readjusting it. I've put about 1400 miles on it and so far it's staying put.

RE: Borla Stingers getting loose.
I haven't had a problem with either borla or corsa getting loose (not on the same car)...but I used a torque wrench, torqued em to 50 lbs, then retorqued them after a week. I think the torque spec says 40 but a Corsa guy had suggested 50. I also am blessed with relatively good roads these days so my cars don;t get beaten to death with potholes.
