Why does the boost change with an upgrade fuel pump?
Glad it all worked out for you!

Do you still have pictures?
Ok guys, here is how it works..........
There is a butterfly attached to a shaft (like a carb or t.b.) that extends outside of the blower housing. The dashpot, vacuum valve, whatever you wish to call it moves the shaft open or closed. The first 2 pics show the valve closed / dashpot arm contacting the stop screw. This is the position when engineis off orunder boost..no vacuum. Second pics are valve open / dashpot arm Not contacting stop screw. This is when engine is at idle or cruise...vacuum present.
Turningin the stop screw will make the butterfly close more, turning out ,will open more. I do not recommend, suggest, advise, etc. modifying the setting. There is a good chance that the butterfly (if closed tofar) may bind in the bore. If this happens, under full boost, high rpm, once you let off the throttle, the boost will not bleed off!
This set up may seem cheap, half ****, etc. to many people. BUT, it is a simple yet very effective design. Look at Ford's factory supercharged cars/trucks. They are the same design.
