Default Kenne Bell Boost A Pump (BAP) install help

Hey everyone. I bought a BAP today to install for the Paxton Novi 1200 I just put on the car. I am including a picture of the BAP here. I have seen lots of talk about some kind of vaccum switch or something but the BAP I have does not have this. What I have is the box with 5 wires coming out of it. One wire is the Controller ****, one is the short ground strap, 2 wires are red, and the other wire is black but seems to be composed of actually 2 small wires inside. I have also heard alot about hard wiring the install to where you do not need the vaccum switch stuff. Can someone set me straight. Can I install this BAP safely as I currently have it and if so how do I do it? Also, I have the BAP wiring/FPDM upgrade kit from Lethal Performance. How does this work with this BAP, how do I wire it. I want to do both at the same time. Thanks alot everyone. i have to have this installed by Wed. night as the car goes to the dyno on Thursday.

Thanks,
Mike

PS...Car is 2005 Mustang Gt Manual

hey monk, welcome to the forum

at your power level (~ 420 bhp), i don't think
the BAP is absolutely necessary.

if you really, really want to wire it up anyhow, i
can probably help

Hey, yah it might not be necessary but I don't anticipate staying with the stock pulley long, and i'm getting a meth kit also so I will need the bap sooner or later, and since its sitting in my room, might as well do it now. But yes any help you can give me would be great. I saw a diagram on wiring it up but it didnt go into enough detail for me to understand which wires for the BAP go where, and also the picture only showed 2 wires, and mine has 2 red, 1 ground, and one big black that is really 2 wires inside. Thanks!!!

ps...thanks for the welcome :-)

you dont need the vacuum switch, just wire the two wires together that would go to the switch. this allows it to work all the time the switch works off vacuum and does not kick the bap in until higher rpms. most guys dont use the switch. I just installed mine
