Getting me 08 GT soon and one of the first things I want to do is Long Tubes (American Racing or Kooks) and Mufflers (Borla Stingers/Corsa). I was wondering who has what here and it its O/R or Catted. Any sound clips would be appreciated too. Thanks!

I'm telling you man, American Racing Headers and Corsa = pure ownage IMO.

I'd say for the midpipe get catted, but that's just my decision since I want to pass emissions testing. I don't want to have to swap out pipes every time I need an inspection. Damn emissions crap! [:@]

For sound clips, search for the "official exhaust thread." I have no doubt you'll bookmark that thread.

Yeah I've heard those and I agree they do sound like pure sex. I really do like the Borla sound a lot, but I hear they're rather droney. But I'm not sure if ppl are talking about the stingers or other Borla models.

I almost guarantee, that the corsa's with that setup will sound even better. Havent ever heard the corsas first hand, want to bad though.

The stingers do drone a bit, but at 1800-2000 only and only noticeable in 5th as i see it. But then again [sm=gears.gif]

Me too. The first time I watched it, I started drooling. lol

I used to think our 3-valves didnt sound as good as the 4 valve Mach 1's and the N/A corbras. That video changed my mind!

Kooks LT's with the their catted X seem to be tuned perfectly for our engines. It just sounds so right!
