well i bought the car back in july and the day i brought it home i noticed it would clunk over small bumps that my 04 gt never did. i took it to the dealer and they said it was fine. well its been getting worse so i decided to to take it to another dealer on monday. they told me ford just sent them a message saying the bushings and lower control arms were on re-call for s197's built before feb 28 07. mine was built oct 16 06 so they decided to replace it all. just picked it up 2day and lo and behold it still does it. any guess on wuts causing this problem. its not a major problem but it is an annoying 1, expecially with a brand new car.

Do a search on the front end clunking. There is a 100 page post on this. Demand the new strut mounts on both sides. I ordered the mounts and did them myself. The difference is night and day. Good luck
