If pulling the motor is anything like the 2v/4v's then you can literally drop everything out of the bottom of the car in a couple of hours install whatever you want and put it back in...shops with a lot of experience dropping motors should be able to do the install in 5-6 hours...$600-$800 seems ridiculous it sounds like they don't really want to do it because they don't really know how to do it properly...properly being the way someone doing it many times would do it...

i just got a qoute from JDMon installing dynatech LTs and they said 7hrs and it would cost about 650.

I got mine done 2 weeks ago here in Charleston for $600. Took them all day because the driver's side just wouldn't fit right. I also had my Prochambers installed at the same time.

just do it yourself and spend the 600 bucks or so on some more go fast parts!!

Brenspeed told me about 600-700 to do the install also....i have a shop that did my gears quote me about 450 and its closer.....i will still go to brent for the tune afterwards, but probably not the install

It took me personally 6 hours to do the install on a lift with hand tools. This was within a period of 3 days and if you are doing the install, you better have some small hands. My hands were very cut up after the install.

I only removed the starter and lifted out the motor mounts one at a time of course to install the newheaders.
