Default Shaker Intake

I have the shaker intake system and someone told me it gives obsolutely no power gains. Just looking for some feedback on how accurate that is. I figured maybe he meant I wn;t see the power gains till I get the car tuned as I am sure it was tuned when the system was put in before I bought it, but i really have no idea. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well i havent owned a shaker hood before but realisticly if it were to have gained any hp i would say at most youir looking at 1-3hp no significant difference. But i bet it wont get heat soaked as fast. like my car in the summer after about 5 mins of driving it drives like a slugg. im sure the shaker hood will help bring a little cooler air. plus IT LOOKS SICK AS **** and i love how it moves with the engine

No performance gains with the Shaker scoop. It's a cosmetic item. You'll get some air flow, but it won't add any power.

Yep. Just cosmetic. But killer look, if you like retro.

+1 to all. I agree that it looks great and I especially like the job that "pascal" has done on his. I was thinking about looking into that and am thinking about it twice now. But it does look nice. What mods have you done pascal?

I just got one of these (Thanks Brenspeed!!!!) still cant wipe the smile off of my face
and I have a tune and a intake , I have the air from the spoiler dumping on my cai like taco bill did , I would have to believe that air has to have some effect, but unless you dyno your car in a wind tunnel , or tape up the scoop at the track and try it un taped there is no way of knowing

I think they claim 5% increase, though this may be only true if you still use the stock air box which would make sense. Still looks good though.

Is there anyone or anyway that has been done to attach the tube coming from the saker directly to the inlet tube or filter? like into the head of the filter or something?
