Noob trying to avoid exh drone

RE: Noob trying to avoid exh drone
SLP Loudmouths. No drone at all. They sound great at crusing speed and really get loud when you step on it. My friends Mac's sound great too but they drone like a bit*h

I have the Corsa's and really like them. Before them I tried Flowmasters, and Pypes Violators. (Both droned) When I first put on the Corsa's I was surprized that they weren't really loud, since they are just a solid straight pipe inside with only a small 'gap' which leads into an acoustic labyrinth. As they 'break' in they have gotten louder. They have a nice deep rumble at idle, and really scream at WOT. I had someone in an SN-95 stang tell me that it was the best sounding S197 he had ever heard. Also I like the fact that if I drive it easy, like when the wife is along, or when a cop if close by, it's not crazy loud.

RE: Noob trying to avoid exh drone
I'm taking off my Magnaflow Magnapaks tomorrow and putting on the Corsas for all the reasons mentioned above. I want to get rid of that terrible drone around 2,000 rpms. If you want to hear what the Corsas sound like, go on their website at corsaperf.com, go to Mustangs and listen to the exhaust, which will show you idle, wide open throttle, and passing. They all sound great, and they're the only exhaust company with a patented system to eliminate the dreaded drone. I don't mind sound, but hate drone! I just paid$620 plus $50 shipping and no tax from Frank Supply in Texas 713-376-3691 from John Barker (Retail is $919, which no one should pay).

Wow!! I really, really appreciate all the help!! I will focus my attention on the Corsa and SLP systems. Just from listening to videos, I do like the SLP sound more.
My car will be a a daily driver, approx 15 miles each way in city driving. But, I frequently take road trips on weekends, so drone is way more important to me that pure volume. In fact, if its only a little louder than stock, that's just fine for me! I'm more concerned with quality sound, not quantity
Thanks again!!
