I walked on to the lot with financing already secured through my personal bank at 5.5%. I drove off with a vehicle financed through FMCC at less than my bank financing. And I will be the first to admit that I do not have a stellar credit score. It isn't terrible, but thanks to an X wife it isn't great either.

It's amazing how much has changed in the last several years... I used the same bank in 01 for my WRX that I used this year for the Vert... I got 7.9% then and 4.5% now...

The best bet is to not take credit at all. These companies are total scam artists. And stay away from credit cards as well. Has anyone ever listened to Dave Ramsey? If you have'nt, I suggest you do....
