my VMP tune is great, after dynoing took it down the street (private road of course) and burned thru 1st, 2nd, and chirped third, best burnout yet. just means i need better traction now. i would really recommend vmp!

Yes, it was engine knock in a 500 RPM range. I don't know what the tuner sees using the real tuning program, but I would think timing could be adjusted every 500 RPM. Its almost like at 2500-3000 RPM, the timing was mistakingly left stock, while everywhere else in the rev band was put to 16 degrees (or something less then stock, whatever that is). Whatever the case, its scared the crap out of me. Hopefully no engine damage, but I doubt the knock was easy on the pistons.[&:]

I'm getting it dyno tuned at a local shop soon.......as my confidence in the VMP tune dwindled after that experience. Moved up my plans for a Livernois stroker shortblock though!!

I am going to get a VMP dyno tune eventually, dont think I trust a mail order tune for any FI.

Just need to get the equipment so I can start to hoop up the power I have now, before I go for more.
You're running a mail order tune!
