Default Running rich or lean?

i just installed a CAI and am running lean, how bad would this ruin your vehicle or is it better to run rich instead?

both can be bad, lean is worse than rich though in your case...talk the CAI off and get a tune

mustang 101.....

i have a shop down the road at least 14 miles away, would it be okay to run it that far with the cai in without damaging anything??

check that the MAF arrow is
pointing in the direction of
airflow

the DTC 0102 points to the MAF, so
lets check the arrow and the connector

i cannot see any direction in where the MAF is going due to the fact that its not on the outside of the intake

we don'twant you to hurt your
stang, so we want you to return the
car to stock.....when you have the
tune in hand or are at a tuner, then
you can put the cai on....

use some hose and clamps, to make the passenger
side cam cover to intake connection

https://mustangforums.com/m_4578884/tm.htm

I did a writeup here of why things need a tune or not... The second entry is about the Cold Air intakes, and why they need a tune. Take a few seconds and check it out and you'll understand why everyone is urging you to go back to stock before you hurt your car.
