Default broken exhaust collector bolt :(

So I had a small exhaust leak that was annoying the crap out of me for too long. I wrenched down on the bolt under the car one too many times and when I thought I was turning the nut, ended up that I was twisting the whole damn bolt. The catch is that the other end was heat-welded to the collector flange. So now the bolt is completely froze in there and even a set of vice grips couldn't undo it. I gave up so I wouldn't get pissed and damage what threads i did have left.

Anyone have some advice? I was just gonna take it in to have a shop put new bolts in. When I looked at the other bolt on the same side it looks to be in the same perdicament.

Ya those bolts are very hard to get out. Taking it to a shop is most likely your best bet.

[:'(] wasn't my first choice but then again I don't want to buy a complete new set of headers either because I bust off the whole header flange.

You might try soaking the bolt in PB Blaster or some other penetrating agent, the header temperature shouldn't be nearly hot enough to actually bond the nut to the flange.
