Roush SS

Roush SS
I recently put a roush ss on and it feels harder to get into gear. It takes me just as long to get the ss in gear as it did for the stock shifter. Does it need to be broken in? Is there another way to make it a little easier to get into gear? Could the bolts be a little to tight? I used the torque specs roush sent with ss.

RE: Roush SS
It is stiffer than stock that's why they recomend getting the long shift arm. It gives you more leverage. You'll get used to it.
I've also noticed after driving a while and everything heats up it wontspring back to center when you go into neutral. Thats because the shifter body is made of aluminum and when it gets hot it expands more than steel does. I'm hoping that will wear in some.

I dont have a problem with the shifter going back into the center. Im trying to stay away from mods to the inside right now. Going to see how it feels in a month or 2. Hopefully it loosens up a little, if not Ill get the long shifter arm.
