Please help me troubleshoot a P2196 code
I had catted longtube headers and a C&L intake installed a while back, andgot a dyno tune. I've been getting P0153 codes ever since, due to the movement of the front 02 sensors. That doesn't concern me as much since my tuner said they should be able to fix it and I just haven't had time to take it back. But at first, I was also getting a P2196 code. I cleared it a few times, and it didn't come back for months and months. But now I am starting to getit again quite a bit.
So, in summary, I am getting the "Sensor Circuit Slow Response" code (P0153) on Bank 2, but the "O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Rich" code (P2196) on Bank 1.
So, am I really running rich or could this be an 02 sensor orwiringfailure? I got the dyno tune, and the A/F ratio was right on, so I don't understand why it would read rich right away. I figured it had something to do with the P0153 code and the movement of the sensor. Like I said, it went away for a long time, but now it is back and has me worried. Does anyone have any ideas on what could cause this?
It also seems kind of weird that I am getting one of the codes on one sensor, but not the other, and vice versa. In other words, I have never had the slow response code on Bank1 or the stuck rich code on Bank 2. This is after quite a few CELs.
If the 02 sensor itself is bad, can it cause a rich condition (instead of the rich conditition being caused by something upstream of the sensor, like the fuel system)?

RE: Please help me troubleshoot a P2196 code
Swap the O2 sensor from left to right & see if you get a P2197, that will tell you if it's a bad sensor. If it stays P2196, then the issue is elsewhere.
I had the same code twice after my LT install, swapped sensors, cleaned the O2 extenders & haven't had a code on them since.
I'm guessing I just had moisture & one of the connections on mine.
