the gt500 has 2 different shift lights, theres the amber arrow one, kinda like the one you guys pictured which basically tells when to shift for fuel economy and then theres the svt shift light... that one is basically like your normal racing shift point... adjustable to 6k or where ever you like shifting, the arrow for fuel isnt adjustable.

Or hack the Fords PCMs code and write the lines in yourself.
Download the PCMcode from a GT500 that has the light to your laptop.
Download the code from you stangs PCM to your laptop also.
Use the editing program you wrote specifically for cracking Fords PCM
code and marry the shift indicator portion of the GT500s code into your
GTs code without causing any bugs to appear.
Then upload the new code toYOUR GTs PCM and cross your fingers.
See if she will start then take her for a ride and admire your work.
Pretty simple, or is it?
Be sure and save an unadulterated copy of your 'as built' code in
casethe shift light modified code does not work.
Or buy a Raptor shift light and drill a 3/4" hole in the back of your
insturment cluster right below the 4 on the tach where the UP ARROW
is located. Then insert Raptor in from the rear and wire as directed.
Form meets function.
