I've lived here all my life too and i know exactly the opposite. Jersey will fail you just for having long tubes. Also they don't just employ the sniff test, the use emmisions testing which the kooks will fail on. Yea the pass the sniff test but they won't pass anything else. This is for state inspection stations. Local places might be easier and might pass you for $$$ but that's up to you . Just my .02

Yes, use Stage 8 bolts! They are about $50.
