The oil issues STS had was when they orginally designed their kit and did in fact have issues with the oil pumps they were supplying with their kits failing. They have since changed to a different oil pump and the issue has gone away.
It was very common for their early kits to have oil pumps failures.
I will respectfully disagree with you on that one. I ordered my kit on 12/31/07 and installed it in April of 2008. I am fairly certain I got the new pump, and I still had my car on stands for nearly three months while I got the runaround from STS. It doesn't really matter what pump they are using....the scavenge pump is the weakest link in a remote mount turbo application.....PERIOD. If that pump fails, you are waiting for a tow. Your engine and turbos may be fine if you get stopped in time, but without oil returning to the engine, you do not want to drive it anywhere.
