Default 4:10 Gear, Brenspeed 93 Tune, Calibrate?

Just bought the 4:10 gear kit and am scheduling to install. I've read that the speedo will be off and needs calibrating. The tune is currently a Brenspeed 93 octane setting.

After the gear install, will the tune automatically recalibrate, or do I need to re-hookup the tuner and reset the tune? Do I need to contact Brenspeed to have my tuner reprogrammed? Probably a stupid question, but reading through some of the threads, I can't quite make out the next steps.

Thanks

you need to contact brenspeed so they can make you a new tune set for 4.10s.the stock computer WILL NOT relearn that gears were change.if you purchase the 4.10s from them theyll make u a new tune free of cahrge.if purchase from somewhere else youll have to pay for a new tune.you can check your handheld tuner to see if lets you change gear ratio and set it for 4.10 in the meantime.
you will have to get a new tune since theres more involved to it than just changing it in the handheld tuner.

Thanks.

Not to be difficult, but does the tune need to be modded to account for an UD pulley as well? I got the Steeda pulley, and was putting that in as well, but assumed it wouldn't effect the tune.

I don't know what tuner you are running but my SCT3 can change the gear ratio without needing a whole new tune.

I'm pretty sure you won't need a whole new tune. The guys at Brenspeed are good people and will help you change the settings without buying a new tune.

yeah, you don't need a new tune. Just load the 93 tune and choose change optional parameters and eventually gear ratio will come up and change it to 4.10. Thats all I had to do. and the pulleys dont need a new tune.

dont know i was told that a new tune was needed since theres more to it than just changing gear ratio in your handheld.there are adjustments that have to be made in the tune for your transmission to shift according to the new gears.this can always be solved by contacting one of the tuners and asking them.
