Brakes squeak

Brakes squeak
’05 GT Convertible. After 4 months and 4,800 miles my brakes are starting to intermittently squeak. It does not appear to be temperature or force dependent. I understand that it is most likely due to the metallics in the pads however I do not understand why it took so long to present itself and why it is intermittent. Any help out there?

RE: Brakes squeak
Brake dust buildup or dirt stuck inthe pad can cause that too. Make sure when you wash your car that you spray the water INTO the rotors, calipers and rims...of course it helps that they brakes are cool so you don't warped rotors .
If it does continue and gets worse, as long as the rotors are worn evenly, you should switch to Cermaic brakes. Much quieter and can handle temps better without fade.

RE: Brakes squeak
i had that same problem with an old 85 f-150 i had, turns out......the brake pads have metal in them and when they wear down they squeak.........time to change your brakes haha, and if they died after 4 months, you need to ease up on em a lil too haha
