Exactly. There's more than one reason you can buy a new mustang gt for $25,000.

It's not some uber performer. It's an entry level pony car. If you wanna hang with the big dogs you're gonna have to open up that wallet and get ready to spend thousands.

A GT500 will solve most of your import problems!

Thisis thread is kind of silly. Losing a race 'by a nose' to a whopping 50 mph? That's definitive proof that all V6 imports beat us?

FWIW, when I go to the TnT day at the local strip, I beat most other street cars pretty easily. I've run against a turbo intergra and won despite missing a gear and I absolutely destroyed a civic hatch with a engine swap. The only noteable car I lost to was a SRT4, and it happened because I blew the launch badly.

These cars aren't very hard to get into the high 12s, and that will beat the vast majority of imports. And from what I've seen at the track, most compacts/imports cannot run the times they are 'supposed' to given there modifications. Get some drag radials and practice launching and most races will be over before they start. FWD and no torque is not a recipe for fast ETs.

Well for 40 big ones it better solve most of those "problems".

Ofcourse this is the usual "game" everyone plays. You could buy an STI for $34K, dump another 8 into it, and crap on that stock GT500.

take subarus and evo's off a roll. unless they are very good drivers or have plenty of mods, they are at a big disadvantage.

the new audi TTS has launch control and a 2.0T. im sure someone has written a tune for it

The one thing common to every Z06 is a horrible driver.

Anyways back to the topic. DragonPL have you considered getting lower control arms. They drastically helped me get rid of the horrible wheel hop. Also if you want get some lower gears maybe 3:73s or 3:90s

Audi TT what year? It's pretty easy to mod a turbo with a Stage 1 or 2 kit or whatever audi calls them that will vastly improve their output.
