Default Shaker or Hood scoop

Hi, I have a 2006 GT and I was wondering which setup would be better, a Shaker CAI with an aftermarket CAI. Or a ram air hood(the dual ones with the scoops near the front of the car) with an aftermarket CAI. Also, would I have to re tune the car if I did all of that? If you have any other suggestions please tell me.

Thanks!!!

I installed the CDC shaker system mainly because I don't care for the apperance of the non functional scoops. A complete hood replacement , on the other hand, can be pretty cool depending on the design.

I have a K&N CAI with my shaker.

I'm leaning towards the Shaker as well. So I can use the shaker with my cai/tune? Nice color by the way. Where in VA are you? I'm in the DC metro area.

The Shaker comes with a cold air tube that is made to work with the stock air box from Ford. I did have to modify the cold air tube which was pretty easy. I also made my own airbox/heat sheild out of aluminum sheet to make a nicer overall package but it was not mandatory, in most cases you can adapt your aftermarket CAI air box to work. I made my own air box in part because I like doing DIY stuff.

I am in Woodbridge which is in Prince William Co. Where in the area are you?

I have a cdc shaker, and i dont think it gives it a wow look. I'm about to get rid of it and get me a cowl hood, now that will turn some heads. When i see a shaker scoop im like ehhh. I mean it beats just having a plain hood, but i think you should get an after market hood. IMO.
