I have the Classics and they do drone big time between 1700-2100 RPM in my car. In 5th gear at 65mph, you can't here yourself think the drone is so bad. At 75 its gone. Why can't they make these things not drone like they do? They sound awesome otherwise. Here are some clips.

I had the classic flows on my 08 gt and did not like them at all. They sounded too close to stock for me. They sounded NOTHING like the old fox bodies and are way overpriced! I took them off, reinstalled my slp lm's and sold them the next day. The classics were also a pita to install due to the square casings and are pretty heavy. The slp's are an easy 30 minute install and alignment of the tips is a breeze without the need to adjust the midpipes.

thanks for all your input. Its hard to make a decision based off just videos. was at STL Ford show this Sat and heard some other axlebacks but it seemed like everyone had either borla, frpp or loudmouths. not a whole lot of variety to get an idea on the ones I've been looking at. Actually thought the loudmouths would be louder than they are in person from what i had heard on vids....

Boomtubes are deeper and smoother than loudmouth FYI...

But still plenty loud.

You need to hear the slp lm's when you punch the gas! Best sounding axle back with an otherwise stock setup imo. Now on the other hand if you are thinking about adding an o/r pipe in the future you do not want the slp lm's because the sound will be unbearable and your neighbors will hate you.

Do they drone. Be honest now. Sounds great from the outside!

Yes, there is drone, but it was dramatically reduced with the addition of my BBK shorties.

FYI. Flowmasters do make them like they used to.

It's called the Original 40 Series Flowmasters. $100 or so dollars from Summit Racing. All you have to do is get an exhaust shop to hack up your stock mufflers, and retrofit the new mufflers..

It's what I have, and love them.
