Default 1/4 Times for Bamachips Race/Performance/TQ

Has anyone compared any 2 or 3 of these tunes at the track (preferably on the same day). I'm planning on trying all 3 this Sat. at the Latemodel Resto. 10th Ann. Celebration at TX Motorplex. I just want to compare notes before and after I've run. I'm assuming that I need to shift at about 6,300 for the race tune, and 6,000 for the TQ tune, and somewhere in between for the performance tune. I'm guessing that the race tune will be harder to launch with the throttle being so much more touchy.

i will be watchin your thread closely. i ran a 13.7 with stock intake and stock tune, but i do have 4.10 gears, but i had lots of wheel hop. i am think about ordering bama's tunes to see how much quicker they are.

I tried the 91tq and 91 race on the same day on a 1/8 mile track a few times. My best time with the race was 9.1XXX (8.8XXX corrected) best time with tq was 8.69XX (8.45XXX corrected). The race tune was harder to launch. According Caleb at Bamachips, he said if I had drag radials or slicks then I may have gotten a better time w/race tune.

My times were extremely close between the race and performance tunes. It was about 10 degrees warmer with the performance tune, yet ran .01 quicker, and .5 mph faster, and it was easier to hold the rpms steady at the green light. With drag radials, it could be different, like you said. The torque tune was off by 1-2 tenths and 1 mph. It was 65-75 degrees and a little humid, and I ran a best of 13.43@105.24, 2.10 60 foot, with a BBK CAI, tune, J&M LCA's, and relocation brackets. Best 60 foot was 2.01 with stock Pirellis. There were 3 Stock 2010 SS Camaros, and none of them ran under 13.6's or faster than 107 mph! I outran a stock Challenger RT by a couple of tenths. There was a group of SRT Jeep Cherokees running mid to high 12's with just intake/tune/exhaust. I was schocked. They're 4WD, and were getting 1.7 60 foots.

If the Jeeps were in 4WD mode then they were getting good traction, thus the low 60 ft.

It's crazy that a boxy very un-aerodynamic jeep could get time likes this, V8 or not.
