Procharger system questions
#2
Well, I don't have one on my Mustang but I have one on my 1971 Z/28. It's been on it for about 8 years. No issues at all, 16 pounds of boost, hundreds of 1/4 mile passes and 40,000 miles. I would buy another one without hesitation. I'm sure one will find it's way onto my 08 soon.

I had a '99 V6 that I put a procharger on when it had 40,000 miles. The car went to 112,000 miles before drowning in Hurricane Katrina and still had a LOT of life. Oh, and I drove the snot out of it.

I also have a D1SC Procharger I was running 11 psi right at 500 hp the car has been down for several months for rebuild not because I blew it but because I wanted to run 20 pounds of boost or greater. The Procharger system worked great at the track with no problems but one the pulley that mounted on the front of the harmonic balancer loosened up according to the Procharger tech it was almost to much boost with the type of pulley provided. I should have upgraded to the ATI harmonic balancer with a different type of pulley that mounts to the ATI balancer the bad news was the ATI balancer was about $400 and the pulley was $150. I would recommend a Procharger to anyone.
