Although I haven't bought a Shaftmaster DS yet on my way to Mt. Pleasant , MI this summer I have them in my GPS and may stop by and buy one, Shaftmasters, will it be there if i swing by on a weekend or are you closed Saturdays? Also after talking to Shaftmaster previous I see no point in buying a 800 $ Steeda or anyother, Shaftmasters balances there shafts, rotate 180 balance again, so almost can't put on wrong. also I run into this all the time about shops that do nothing but mustangs and can work on them in their sleep.........until comes to a 2010 such as mine and others, I asked my tuner/shop the other day if I bought a DS from shaftmaster, they recommended Steeda, i said no I'll bring my Shaftmasters DS, if I can do in my drive way in a hour and half, you guys should be done in a hour...then they started bringing up all these pinion flange parts and so on...I stopped them, I said this is a 2010, there is no pinion flange needed, there is no hump or e-brake cable in tunnel and this 4" DS is direct bolt on...they took a step back..hmm did not know that.....2010 even with the 4.6 is not the same as anybody '09 and back guys, things are differnet on it trust me, down to the valve cover gaskets, differ. from '09 even.

Still not sure what went wrong. OEM shaft is back in the car now. I'm working on some sort of resolution with installer and manufacturer - maybe have the aluminum DS re-installed - hopefully this can be resolved soon, after holidays over.
(Otherwise, a discounted 2010 w track-pack is looking better and better....)

Problem solved, finally. There were two issues. First, surprise, the pinion angle was set incorrectly. Second, the pinion flange had excessive runout, 11/1000. New pinion flange, pinion angle set per manufacturer's specs, and now everything is fine. It's a bit louder than stock, probably due to the shifter, but it runs great. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and help.

Aluminum Driveshafts are definitely great when they are working.
