Default 14 bolt vs. 10 bolt valve covers

Does anyone know if the 10 bolt valve covers will work on a 2005 GT with the 14 bolt head? I have the 14 bolt heads and covers but it seems to be difficult to find replacement covers (ie chrome or powder coated) that are 14 bolt. Has anyone used the 10 bolt covers on the 14 bolt heads?

I some how doubt it.

I installed the FRPP "10 bolt" chrome covers on my 06 GT with "14 bolt" heads. Somewhere along the way Ford decided 14 bolts where overkill. I have had zero issues with mine.

Just as a FYI, if you get the FRPP covers new gaskets and hardware is included.

I swapped mine, my Dad's and a friend's (all 06's) with the 10 bolt covers and have had zero issues with any of the installs.

I went the other way and installed 14 bolt covers on a 10 bolt head ('07) and had zero issues. You would just end up with some holes with no bolts/mounting tabs. As others have stated, you just need the correct gasket for the cover.
