Default 6 Point Roll Bar Install With Pics

I started my roll bar install this weekend. I purchased an 8 point from S&W Race Cars but I will probably just install the 6 points. I have a few pics so far and will update until it's all in. The IHRA requires that the main hoop must be 6 inches or less from the helmet back when in driving position. Because the head rest is leaned so far forward, I had to abandon the stock straight seat back bar and have a custom kick out bar to the rear made. I managed to get one of the holes cut in the package tray and the seat back bar welded in for today. I will hopefully get it all done by tomorrow. Looks like I will have to lose the shaker 1000 sub box. Let me know what you think so far.

Edit.. All complete.

Looks great, S&W makes nice stuff.
Do you have any pics of how the bars go thru the rear deck. Do they go thru the speaker holes?
Thanks

Thanks everybody. The rear bars go to the outside of the speakers and line up with the rear frame rails. I had to cut a big rectangle out because of the angle of the rear bars. They come extra long on the trunk end so you need to cut them to fit. Home Depot has a nice Rigid Cut off saw for $179.99. The Door bars are extra long as well. The bolt in roll bars won't work since your helmet will be too far from the main hoop. I painted the main hoop and rear braces before putting it in the car with Seatbelt bar welded in . I taped the area where the rear braces will weld to the main hoop to cut down on painting inside the car. There is a lot of putty in the rear floor baords to scrape away before putting in the floor plates. I cut holes in the rear floor to let the main hoop drop down so I can finish weld the top of the rear braces. They are right up against the head liner when at the installed height. I left about 1/4 in of clearance from the main hoop and any interior at the top.

Edit: New pics added to first post, all done.

Looks like a lot of work. The finished product looks great! Are you getting ready to pierce the 10 second barrier?

What are you going to do about the trunk battery?
