In my experience there really is no "good" inexpensive slotted or drilled rotor that wont crack so my recommendation would be a premium stock replacement rotor like Centric or Raybestos or even O.E.M. and a Centric 105 series set of brake pads.
How would one completely flush the fluid out of the clutch/manual tranny system as well? Its all tied into the reservoir that also feeds the brakes.

I dunno, maybe make a new thread. I've been trying to find that question out myself for some time and I keep hearing different answers on whether the clutch line can/can't be bled, but nobody will say how to do it without pulling the trans.

Check out Rotorpros.net They were running a special, 4 drilled/slotted colored matched rotors plus HPS pads for around $350 or so

I got to say it again. Make sure your wheels will fit over the new rotors/calipers before you purchase. Except for the Brembo-package wheel on the 2011 and the Shelby 500 wheels, no Mustang wheels will fit over the Ford Brembos or any big brake kit. Nor will the mini-spare fit either if you flat.

Also nix on the DOT 5 fluid, I believe.

Cheers.

Same calipers = same pads = same contact surface area/pressure on the rotor = same stopping power? I would assume that this is the reason that you don't see many people using this.

The reasoning is to move the caliper outward toward a greater radius, thus having more stopping power. Probably has a minimal effect but they do look cool and cost a heck of a lot less than a big brake kit.
