2011 Mustang GT mods
Hello all, I am new here and about to buy my 3rd Mustang (2011 GT) over the years. I previously have had an 68' w/ 289 V8 and a 67' GTA 390
I currently have an 08' E90 M3 and before that a 03' Corvette Z06.
I am a performance car enthusiast, and not a fan boy by any means, I like whatever is made well and has good performance no matter the manufactor.
Ok, so my situation. My M3 is currently being lemon lawed for undisclosed reasons (still in progress) and I am pondering the 2011 GT.
I have test driven the 2011 Rousch GT, and while it was good, I want something better suspension wise, I also wasn't impressed with the wheels that come with it.
So, I am thinking about getting a 2011 Premium GT w/ bremos and 3.73 gear and adding the following....
Alcoa Super Snake 20's w/ Pirelli P Zero tires (255/35/20 ; 275/35/20)
KW V3 coilovers
Sway bars for flatter cornering
Corsa Cat-back exhaust
minor bolt-ons / tune
My goals are....
1.) 1g lateral acceleration
2.) 30hp and 30tq for increased power
In addition, I am hoping for a classy, non-slammed look. I am shooting for a 1/2 inch fender gap and almost flush off-set without any rubbing under any conditions.
You think this is possible?
Also, anything I am missing that is a must?
Any feedback is welcome
Thanks all

CAI and tune will get you your power goals, LT headers will put you past your goal. you will already be at like .96 G's of lateral grip from the stock car so the suspension work you listed will likely get you to your goal (i dont have any experience with KW though)
to be honest however, you may want to look into the 2012 Boss Mustang. it comes from the factory with 440 HP and an adjustable suspension capable of over 1 G of lat grip. in addition to that you have the option of recaro seats.

I have little doubt I can get to 1g with my mods, my biggest concern is stability. When I test drove the Rousch GT, it felt good, but nervous, and I want a car I can push into triple digits and have it feel composed and stable. That is where the biggest advantage comes from going to a coil-over system.

Thanks for the reply. Reading what I have about the 2012 Boss, I would love to, however, I will need a replacement car within 3 mths from now when I turn in the M3, I don't think they will be out that soon.
