Default Ambient Lighting question

Can you turn the back lighting on the instrument panel gauges off and just light up the numbers, like a typical car?

I seem to recall seeing a pic. online of the instrument panel with no back lighting, just the numbers lit up, but I was playing around with one at the dealer this evening and I couldn't see how to do it.

Thanks

If your gauges have a white background during the day then i do not believe you can switch to the numbered lighting.

I think Ford outfitted the 2010 and 2011 Mustangs with two clusters:
1. being the base model with light up numbers and a black background.

and 2. The 'Premium' cluster with light up background and black numbers.

Thanks for the reply.

Damn, I like the black background better, but i'm not going to lose everything else that comes with the premium for that. I might need to aftermarket to the black.

You get to choose the background color (main part of gauge) and the halo color (ring around main gauges) as far as gauges go.
