Default Gauge pod upgrade???????

Hey guys, New here to the forum, so bear with me if this has been asked at nausium previously. This is my first mustang in about 21 years, so I've been away for awhile. Anyway, is it possible to up-grade the 2005 base 4 gauge pod to the optional 6 gauge pod. I'm sure there would be computer issues, but hope they would be resolved at worsed by the battery disconnect re-boot I've heard about after the install of a new pod and switches. I pulled the "switch delete" plug in the dash where the buttons to operate the message center would be, and there was a small "2 wire" harness plugged into the back of it. Hoping thats in place for possible up-grade. Any help would be appreciated. Just baught the car a few weeks ago with only 18,000 miles on it. Not bad for an "05" I thought.

Do you mean the instrument cluster? It's done all the time.

Yes, the Instrument cluster. Didn't realize was as easy a swap as it sounds by your responce. Like I said, first Mustang for me in over 20 years. Thanks.

Not on topic, but whereabouts in PA? I grew up in Philly and lived in York County from '90 to '07.

I saw they have 2010 GT 6 gauge panels, but they don't have anything for 2011 GT gauge clusters.

Are the 2010 and 2011 GT 6 gauge clusters exactly the same?
Also, will my '11 300A have the additional wiring plugs that are just unplugged in my current 4 gauge cluster?
If yes, that would be great, I would so love to just simply plug in the extra non-used plugs to the additional gauges features.

If the '11 300A does not have the additional plugs, what would I need to do to get those additional plugs to make the additional features work on the 6 gauge cluster?

Shrewsbury, which is very lower and central Pa. Just over the state line from Md. off of I83.
