The way I understand scavenging is this: (this is ture for eequal length headers only)

As the exhaust pulse goes through the pipe and gets into the main tube where they all converge, the next pulse begins. The sucking from the first pulse creates a pull on the next pulse of exhaust. The actual flow of the headers are increased from what the bench says which only has air being sucked or pushed through them.

So with the equal length headers, yo have a pushing and pulling affect.

I could be talking out my *** but this what I understand about how they work.

Even after all that, there is still no real data saying what if any power shorties give us.
