Default How do you guys like the Mickey Thompson Drag Radial 2's?

I just ordered some 305/35/18 Mickey Thompson DR 2's... How are they on the street? I was going to go with the Nitto NT05R in a 295/35/18, but that was next to impossible to find in stock. I like the Nitto 555's , but on a slow roll it just lays sideways.. If I could get 6-8000 miles out of them that would be great.. I am hoping next week when I drop the car off and have the 1 peice drive shaft, LT's, CAI , GT500tb, 3400 PTC convertor; that it makes a difference. I would have liked to do it myself , but right now I am working 60-70 hours a week.. just dont have time..

No street tire hooks better than Mickey Thompson ET Streets, but they are flat out dangerous in the rain. I also wouldn't bet on getting 6 to 8 thousand miles out of them. Maybe 4 or 5 thousand miles if you baby them.

Thanks for the heads up.. I had the old bias ply ET Street's on my 99 camaro ; which went 12.0's NA and high 10's on the bottle, but the car sucked at speed on the highway.. I would not even come out in the rain... I knew better.. lol I had the old Nitto 555r's on there and the best 60ft was 1.72. Then changed out to the Mickeys and adjusted my torque arm to -4 degrees and went 1.64 on the motor.

I used to have bias ply mickeys as well, but I had them on stock 17" rims with the stock radials in the front. Scary as hell at high speed. And yeah, they would kill you in the rain. (literally)
