Will these rims fit my car? Help needed!
Hey I drive a 07 Mustang GT and I wanna upgrade rims. You think this will fit my stang?I am very new to this and I wanna run wide rear tires..possibly like 315 or like 295's? Is that possible and will this rim stick out or any other disadvantages?
He said the tires are 225 35 Stretched..What does that mean?
Thanks a lot, sorry if its a stupid question but I am illiterate about rims
THANKS!

First off, for a 17' wheel those tires have a very short sidewall. I don't see the tire size listed but your stock tires should be 235/55/17. I'd be concerned about the OD being different and throwing your odometer off (which you'll need a handheld tuner to correct).
Second, he doesn't list what the wheel offset is. If excessive from the stock 45-48 mm offset, it could stick out or in and cause issues.
Third, look where that tire falls in this survey: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey....jsp?type=HPAS
Fourth, you can get a decent deal for rims and tires on ebay and some of the vendors on the forum instead of some one else's "mistake".
Fifth, a 315 series tire will require at least a 10" wide rim; possibly a 10.5" and with that comes a LOT of weight. Your GT will definitely underperform unless you mod with some power adders.

And to answer another question, when you stretch a tire, it means you are taking a narrow tire and putting it on a wide wheel. Looks like **** IMO, and not to mention it can be dangerous. Oh and nuke is right, I have 18x10 wheels with 295/45 tires, super heavy set-up.

The information that is there, means that it isn't anywhere near a good tire choice for you. It is FOUR WHOLE INCHES SHORTER THAN any of Ford's OE sizes foir this car. It is also at least two sizes smaller than anything I'd put on my Mazda 626, which weighs several hundred lbs less than your Mustang.
When he says "stretched", he is not being very informative. "Stretched" for that size tire could mean that the rim is over 9" wide, 9" generally being the maximum width recommendable by the tire mfrs for that size tire. Or it could mean 9" or even 8.5" from the point of view of people accustomed to seeing a lot of sidewall bulging out past the rim.
A 285/40 on 18 x 9.5" wheels like the rear of the GT500 is a no-brainer kind of fit with wheels of +45 offset like the 18" GT500 wheel.
