Default Need help with problem.

Hi, I own a 2005 mustang gt and I'm starting to have a little trouble. Well to keep the story short a burnout was attempted and it didn't go well so I burnt a bit of my clutch up, but while I was attempting to do a burnout my brother said he heard my engine pop and a bunch of liquid came out of my exhaust. The car seems like it runs fine but my clutch just doesn't grip well now. Now my "check gas cap" light is on and my tuner says something about an exhaust leak or emissions problem.

Does anyone know what it could be? I had a shop look under the car because I'm getting a new parking break cable and I think I read you have to take off the pipes to get to it so maybe they didn't torque them down enough. The code wasn't showing up until them and the "burnout" was attempted on monday.

Any idea what It could be? I've about to have a look under the car, I'll take pictures if needed.

Thanks in advance.

Why you getting a new parking brake cable? Anyway underneath the spare tire well is the EVAP system of the car perhaps you shook a line loose or crimped one, the liquid may have been condensing gasoline.

How much liquid? Its common for some condensation to spit out the tailpipes. The gas cap light is nothing, make sure it's on evenly. I put mine on crooked and it gave me the light too.

Parking break cabele broke a few weeks ago when I was trying to give someone a jump. And as for the light I still can't get it to go away, and I'll add that for the first 2 or 3 days after this happened I was getting really low gas mileage, about 11 it said.

As for the liquid, my brother said it was more than a gallon.

Wondering the same thing???

More than a gallon? That doesn't sound too good. Have you tried simply resetting the code and seeing if it comes back?

Yeah, I've cleared it. And the reason it broke is because it was never tensioned enough and I knew that I couldn't leave it in gear because I had to get out of the car to jump the guy car so I left it in neutral and I guess I pulled the cable too high and it snapped the front cable.
