Hey guys, I'm buying a tuner/intake package from one of my buddies and what I was wondering can I plug the tuner right in and tune my car with it? It's got 5 unlocks left, so I know the tuner itself can be used with my car. But can I actually use the tunes he has programmed on there? I'm almost positive I can't but I just wanted to double check. The reason I mainly doubt it is because his car was an automatic and mine is a 5spd. Can tunes just simply be e-mailed?

First, you being able to use your buddy's tunes depends on if the tunes are canned (from SCT or Diablo and useable in most any S197) or if they're custom (specifically written for a given S197 for a specific PCM). And btw, canned tunes suck compared to custom tunes...

Also, only one car at a time can use the handheld. In order to load tunes into a 2nd vehicle, the 1st vehicle has to be returned to stock.
