Thats weird.. I've only had shaker 500s in my 07 and 12 so I can't help... other than saying an aftermarket system might be in order

you could take it to a dealership and see what htey say, would probably cost far less than even a new head unit.

I have the shaker 1000 in my 05 gt. It has the option to turn the sub on and off. If yours don't I would think someone might have switched it out with another one and maybe put a shaker 1000 sticker on it? All the black came off of my buttons and it looks bad but is still works good. Good luck

I pulled the dash kit off the head unit and it says 1000 on it & it's painted on. I also yanked out the head unit and the part number on the sticker on the side of the radio is that of a 1000 head unit.

I even called ford and gave them my VIN and they confirmed it was built with the 1000 system in it.

I also read that when the lights don't work it needs to be programmed by the dealer.

yep sounds like you should take it to a dealership, get them to fix it.. I'm sure it will be less than buying a new system.

if you happen to end up needing a new radio, I have mine that I pulled out of my 08 with only a few hundred miles on the car for sale.

Hopefully though ford can fix it for free for you and be on your way.

I just called the dealer and they told me they don't fix radios and they can not be reprogrammed, they send them out. Sounds like BULL to me. Thoughts?

UPDATE! I Replaced the radio with another Shaker 1000 head unit and it now all works grerat!

I got the Head Unit for $100 because the buttons were all worn off, but I didn't care since I have a brand new spare face plate.
