Cool 2013 Mustang GT Barton Industries Short Throw Shifter Review

Was at Carlisle All Ford Nationals yesterday and saw the Barton guys there and I tested out the shifter and it was pretty awesome. Ended up buying the shifter, new style bracket, and shift **** and got it all for $369 (normally $439). I installed it last night and it's actually pretty easy to install.

Overall I'm VERY happy with the new shifter. Throws are very short and it's very easy to shift through the gears. There's a little more noise, but not a lot. I definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a shifter. Shifts are much faster. Definitely takes getting used to though since 1-2 is close to what 1-neutral was before lol. I love it!

I plan to get it as well, good reviews on the shifter.

Was the bracket easy to get to since I'm assuming you didn't use a lift?

How does this shifter compare to the MGW? MGW is pretty hard to beat.

MGW's a better unit in most respects but these are an upgrade from stock and the next best choice below MGW...

Hmm, I guess I should add this to the list of mods to do after the house is built. It sure sucks to wait.
