My avg MPG on a 2000 mi road trip surprising

I recently completed a trip from Baltimore to Owensboro, KY, and back. Over the entire 1500 mile trip I averaged just shy of 22 mpg at an average speed of 76 mph.
Given the average speed, I was very pleased with the results!
edit: 2013 GT/CS with automatic and 3.15 gears
