Steeda or Barton?

Hurst looks good, that's it. Other than that, the stock shifter is higher quality. I bought one back in '06 because they were pretty quick to the game and I didn't like the stock shifter. Shifts were short, but throws were notchy as hell. Required effort that negated the short throws. I replaced it with an MGW and have never looked back. By far the smoothest shifter I've ever felt on any generation mustang. The Steeda and Barton are both quality pieces that I've driven on seperate cars and I don't think you could go wrong with either of them, but the MGW is more than hype. I'm not a brand loyalist. My car is a hodgepodge of aftermarket parts brands that each do their job best for what I'm trying to achieve. In the case of the shifter, the MGW was hands-down the best I tried.
The Hurst is far superior to the stock shifter. The Hurst is designed to be notchy I personally love mine and that feel because there is no doubt that im in the gear. Not that I miss gears but when it comes to after market shifter I think its more about preference on feel and the throw
